Before myself lays this quiescent ocean.
Its vastness, further than my eyes do see.
Behold the serenity of these storm-less waves,
Tranquil in their infinite movements.

As I write this, I see a star-filled sky.
Alone on a bench; basking in the calming sea sounds.
This puzzle; it is missing just one piece.
Another sound; my heart still does quite cry.

This tranquil serenity; it does not matter!
Eyes in my chest; it sees a different cloud.
Snowing forever from these grays; will it ever stop?
It will; when we are greeted by gracious greens.

These gracious greens, grasping the puzzle piece.
Forget these serene scenes and this blasted bench!
This missing puzzle piece; this puzzle, will complete.
Yet I see it now, trodden in her smiling hands.
I think its pretty self-explanitory. I hope you enjoy!

Oh, the things we can't quite identify. It's interesting, we go every day in a half daze, stumbling through the junk that clutters our lives, then we go out of the way for a minute to try and enjoy ourselves, and only then do we realize that something's missing.

In this case, the missing element seems to be life. We can stare at emptiness all day, but people ultimately need more than emptiness. They need living creatures surrounding them. They need plants and animals and people. I don't care what your desktop background is. People need other people.

It's really that simple. Life brings change, it gives us things to think about. It's what keeps us thinking. It's also beautiful. Seriously, nature's fantastic. I really wish I had more to say, but I don't. Good poem.

Top marks because star ratings are dumb.

A daring denial of much in awareness of lacking the core of things? I like this concept, and I think it was its poetic phrasing what I wanted to stumble upon for quite a while. It's brilliant, and educating. Thank you for writing it.

Denial, isn't always a bad thing! Thank you for reading it, it is simply self-expression of an idea. I happy you enjoyed it.
